What is Christian meditation? It is obedient reflection on God's Word. It's in the Bible, Joshua 1:8, NIV. "Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."
Christian meditation is persistently focusing on how to follow God's plan. It's in the Bible, Psalm 1:2, TLB. "But they delight in doing everything God wants them to, and day and night are always meditating on His laws and thinking about ways to follow Him more closely."
Jesus gave us an example of Christian meditation and prayer. It's in the Bible, Luke 5:16, NIV. "But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed."
Meditation results in insight. It's in the Bible, II Timothy 2:7, NIV. "Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this."
